After the very enjoyable cruIse a couple of years ago from Athens via the Greek islands to Istanbul, we decided to spend another holiday on a cruise ship. This time we wanted to expand our horizon a bit to the north and focused on the Baltic Sea. Whilst the end of August, start of September is at the end of the season and the weather is getting a bit colder, we took our chances, and had good weather throughout the 12 day cruise. Half a day rain in Stockholm, the rest overcast or even warm sunny autumn days.
The 12-day cruise started in Copenhagen and after stops in 8 ports and 2 days at sea, ended in Southampton.
The 8 ports were;
- Helsinki
- St. Petersburg
- Tallinn
- Stockholm
- Visby
- Warnemunde / Rostock
- Amsterdam
- Bruges (Brugge)
The ship we were on was the Nautica, operated by Oceania Cruises.
